As we proceed with the official opening of VoxWorld.Coop Outlets, our primary interest is to open a new channel worldwide for Community-branded Culture products and services via electronic, mobile and physical showcasing in Culture Commerce within a Social Marketplace setting, as dedicated to Virtual Communities, with virtual meeting place at: www.voxworld-coop.ning.com. In specifically promoting connectivity through Culture Travel, we wish to further the aims of the Sustainable Tourism initiatives from GSTC & ST-EP (refer below) - and from which every country and community can benefit greatly, indeed potentially every town and every village too. While our particular focus is on helping to create many thousands of Jobs at Home within participating Communities, we aim to achieve this with New Ideas, New Ways in addition of a Social Purchasing dimension to that of existing tourism service provider offers and, uniquely, through opening of VoxWorld.Coop's Culture Showcases in a Hospitality Centres Exchange around the world.

We seek to address the needs of people wherever people meet- whether in the homeplace, the workplace or other meeting places of Communities worldwide - through use of a unique VoxLabs virtual eBusiness model featuring enterprise, digital and social dimensions www.labs.voxworld.coop. We achieve this through using three versions of our Culture Showcase Exchange model - online, offline and mobile; reflecting the pace of life today and the varying places where we meet. In doing so we seek to engage people too in meeting their radically different education, innovation and microfinance needs in their Social Marketplace. We collectively aim to meet people in their homeshores, hospitality and hospital/ clinic locations (as we begin with Care, simply caring for people around us); at their cooperatives, telecentre/ colleges and diversity employer corporations; or through their diaspora orgs, social causes and social movements. We help Communities to earn, learn, shop and save; where products and services can be customised and servitised to meet their global Community requirements. We bring together the elements of social purchasing, culture showcasing and create online opportunities to work at home.

And we can do all this today, through promotion of Sustainable Tourism for any community, culture or country or region - helping promote them through VoxWorld.Coop "Culture Travel" Showcase-ing in Internet linked Cafes, Hotels, Community Colleges, Universities & Airports in Developed Countries, with constant Culture Travel Offers from Developing Countries - while in exchange simultaneously Showcase-ing the products and services (through migrants, diaspora, frequent flyers, business travellers, conference attendees etc) of Developed Countries that are in demand in Developing Countries, led by mobile consumer electronics. Where Sustainable Travel is our focal point within global Tourism sector, the world's biggest industry - addressing both its leisure and business travel dimensions.

Why Culture Travel? Its the Startpoint for so many opportunities for Communities. Culture Travel brings foreign exchange currencies into many of the poorest countries on earth - where perhaps Remittances never reach. Income is disbursed across hospitality, attractions, leisure, entertainment, retail, transport and cultural activities, It generates rare jobs in rural areas, improves countless lives, and is spread out among MSME's, micro and small to medium sized enterprises, in particular. That money is then circulated locally among those communities on food, drink, traded-services, etc - with possibilities for further learning and advancement at both an individual and community level, as well as in both supporting manufacturing/ services opportunities and in generating further export traded-services earnings that can follow. It opens dialogue with the world. It builds relationships, on which opportunities for community advancement can be constructed.

It is accepted by very many people that, with the Great Crash of 2008, the World has awoken to and is now increasingly aware of the value and meaning of most things they consume, and that includes travel. With that people understand that EcoTourism or Sustainable Tourism are the way-to-go; preserving as custodians of our culture what we most value, so we can pass it on to our children as a virtual nest egg. Where with culture, one is never be really lost in the world - knowing that where there is a will, there is then is always a way. Leading social activists recognise today that learning and earning can still and indeed should be 'fun' for Developing Nations - how better to achieve this than through the 'enjoyment and achievement' embedded for travellers and local community alike in Sustainable Tourism. Culture Travel educates people, opens their eyes, and generates a greater understanding and thus appreciation of each other; while protecting what we hold dear to our hearts. Tourism and Poverty Alleviation:

In achieving this ambition, VoxWorld.Coop wishes, firstly, to promote the 37 voluntary Standards as set by Tourism Industry at GSTC, the Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria - as set up in 2008 by Rainforest Alliance with several UN Orgs and over 40 Contributing Tourism Partners, under following sub-headings:

1. Demonstrate effective sustainable management.

2. Maximize social and economic benefits to the local community and minimize negative impacts.

3. Maximize benefits to cultural heritage and minimize negative impacts.

4. Maximize benefits to the environment and minimize negative impacts.

2. Reducing pollution

3. Conserving biodiversity, ecosystems, and landscapes

And, secondly, we wish to promote the 7-step Mechanisms set out in UNWTO's ST-EP, Sustainable Tourism-Eliminating Poverty, which are:

1. Employment of the poor in tourism enterprises

2. Supply of goods and services to tourism enterprises by the poor or by enterprises employing the poor

3. Direct sales of goods and services to visitors by the poor (informal economy)

4. Establishment and running of tourism enterprises by the poor - e.g. micro, small and medium sized enterprises (MSMEs), or community based enterprises (formal economy)

5. Tax or levy on tourism income or profits with proceeds benefiting the poor

6. Voluntary giving/support by tourism enterprises and tourists:

7. Investment in infrastructure stimulated by tourism also benefiting the poor in the locality, directly or through support to other sectors
